    It is not Shimla-4 but happens to be located in SHIMLA-1. Prior to establishment of Govtgirl's school i.e. before independence of India, a boy's school by the name of Islaamia School was being run here by Muslim Wakf Board.

    I read,last week, one book and one article from two very eminent persons, who know almost everything about SIMLA---Sh Raaja Bhasin and Shri Shriniwas Joshi IAS (Retd)-- Elysium Hotel, just a few years earlier than independence of India, was owned by one business house by the name of Messers Hussain Bakash & Sons, tailors who owned their shop where presently Alfa Restaurant is located (Prior to Alfa, it was RAUNAK restaurant and before that MINERVA BOOK SHOP used to run in these premises at The Mall). Elysium Hotel was also a temporary SAFETY camp for muslims, who wanted to go to newly found Pakistan, during the pre-independence riots & disturbances(SIMLA was peaceful although all precautions were being taken by the authorities)
