    THE METROPOLE HOTEL was purchased by the JAISWALS after partition 1947. sarv shri LT Lal chand jaiswal, LT Shri Ram nath jaiswal, LT,shri Hira lal jaiswal and run successfully till 1968 .They are in business of liqour and opium.The families of three are settled in Chandigarh, Ambala, Jagadhari.

    Hello. That "muslim man" was my grandfather-Mirza Hussain Abbas and his elder brother Khan Bahadur Mirza Badruddin.I thank you for you're kind words. very generous of you. In addition to Hotel Metropole, they had a very succesful construction company by the same name-Metropole Contractors, I believe Indias first railway line through a mountain was among their pioneering projects. Metropole Steel Works in Amritsar was also their company. Founder of Present day Batala Steel was a very valued foreman at our mill at partition. Across the continent at partition there were pioneering "giants among men", in every industry. Everything after is mimicry without the intellectual honesty to aknowledge pioneers. You're honesty was a breath os fresh air. All the best.

My dada ji ( grand pa) suresh jaiswal told me about his hotel and showed me furniture and silver utensils of hotel . He told me that it was taken from a 'muslim man' . My great grand father have the a huge business of wiskies and afeem. It was taken by govt. On 1968. I salute my royal family. I want to praise those who started this hotel . My grandpa too tell me that a shot of the old film 'boby' has been taken from there Aaditya jaiswal India Harayana
